it is easier for me to live
amongst the dead
than it is to die
surrounded by the living

for the living
care not for my ashes
that fall through
the grate of my sorrows

still as the shadow of death envelops me
the light of your love shines through
and I ask for no further redemption
than one lasting embrace from you

Touch, but don't look

With a shade of dark, followed by a dedicated love.

Fine, articulated poetry Jack.

You have posts everywhere. Pleased I decided to do some exploring tonight.

I really felt the words of this one! I haven't quite decided if that is good or bad but great poem!
