Let me ask you something.
How often do you sit there
and think about
how stupid you are?
How often do you wonder
what good you do?
Who you help?
What you change?
Why you live?
How often does the world
make you question
your worth?

Let me ask you something.
How tired are you of feeling hopeless?
Feeling burned up?
Feeling used?
How sick are you of being treated wrong?

Let me tell you something.
You are not wrong.
You are not stupid.
You are not worthless.
This world sets all of us up
to see only the bad
inside of us.

And let me tell you something.
The world is what's wrong,
what's stupid,
what's worthless
because it makes you--
you in all your broken wonders,
all your perfect faults
and every single small miracle--
it makes you feel hopeless.
And that...?
That is what's wrong.

Not you.

to all that need to hear this! I'm proud
of you for doing so.

Everyone needs their own "kudos" day by day;
poetry like this tells others "has she felt like me? I'm really not alone?"
