Hunched in the corner against the wall I approached him.
Motionless, needle in arm, fingers white.

Staring at the window with the lonely eyes of a stuffed animal.  
I knelt beside him.

"Brother what do you see?" I asked.  
His gaze clouded like dull plastic.

"what calls you down this hopeless path?"  
The constricted serpent snapping from his dying arm.

"For a moment it makes me a cow."  
He whispered.....

"A cow that does not feel ugly or stupid. She knows neither past nor future nor dread."

And I sat holding my brother the cow.....

That is so weird...

I LOVE IT. I like the stuffed toy line especially.

So very interesting. I could dissect it for hours.

Thanks for the reply Stitches!  Lol that thing is weird.  I enjoyed writing that.  I sure do appreciate you taking the time to comment.  Thanks again.

I learned a lesson from this.  How important the title is.  This was about a Heroin addict and a better title could have helped.
