Drink it down,
        make it better.
    Let it take your body,
             and let it slow your mind.
Drink it down,
        make it go away.
    Let it consume your consciousness,
              and let it calm your thoughts.
Drink it down,
        make it hell.
    Let those around you mourn,
              and let it rot your love.
Drink it down,
        make us cry.
    Let it take over you,
              and let its poisons kill.
                       Go ahead,
                                   drink it down.
                                             Drink it down to hell.

I wrote this poem because some people in my family have problems with alcohol. They have the ability to act like it does not matter to them that it hurts us, and it becomes infuriating sometimes.
