River of Souls

So steady the water of sorrow,
flows over my soul.
With every ripple,
a tear is ever so near.
Each tear of mine,
is in a stream.
Flowing along the riverbeds of time.
Edging me along into the river of souls.
Where sorrow grabs hold,
deep into my soul.

The river of souls is filled with sorrow.
Deep in the bottom of darkness,
God's hand is there.
In the night,
lifting me into the sun light.
As the river reflects the light of sun,
through my soul.
Cleansing it of sorrow,
making me whole.
Letting the darkness go,
that has filled my soul.

The water of sorrow,
fills deep within.
Yet God stands by my side,
helping me to cross the rivers end.
In my time of sorrow,
God sends a song for tomorrow.
For if the rocks were gone,
the brook would loose it's lonely song.
Connecting it to the river of souls.
Lifting me from all my sorrows,
and lonely tomorrows.
God will bring you through,
to meet tomorrow.
Around the rivers bend.
