Near golden sunsets

The acrid stench denies subtle
darkness its right to hide
the beast in its black folds.

The sickly red glow reflecting
softly from brick walls
speaks loudly of hunger.

A shuddering rasp escapes
As weight is thrown against
The iron barred door.

A glint behind fierce eye
Shows poor restraint
As the were paces.

The full moon slowly sets
On its monthly cage.

Divide me again.

I'm new here so I'm not sure how deep and profound replies should be.  But I honestly I think this is so totally cool.  Vivid and cool.

If I don't say it...who will?
