And if i saw you in the deep dark night, i would invite you in for a minute or two.
Even though you were the one to break my heart in two.
But the only good thing is that my heart is still beating, espcially when you come around, its like my heart is in a high speed chase. just trying to win the race for your love.
And, i never thought it would get that far, as far as late night goodbyes and taxicabs rides.
but its all over now that shes in your life, and the only pain that comes from my heart is that i didn't tell you i love you often enough.
But now that your gone, i sit all alone singing along to our old song.
and even though you were the one to break my heart and leave me alone, i would still invite you in for a minute or two, just so we might have a chance to talk it all through.

I like poems that start with and...it makes the reader hurry to get in the taxi with you just to hear the story. and i like when poetry is just a snapshot in motion of a moment or a thought that leaves one not only with a heartache for you, but for a memory of their own.
