He walked out and it was back to being real
I could never force myself to feel
Inside it was
  Killing me
     Breaking me
         Eating me alive
Until there was no substance left for fiction to feed off of
No visible flesh for pain to tear away
     There was nothing left
I never gave it my best
Giving away the rest of me to someone not quite as dead as me
Not for something new
Just in hope of another view
A different person I could never be
A perspective that I'd kill to see
              In my reflection
                  Pure catastrophe
He walked out and it was back to being real
Speaking words not meant to hear
Inside it was
   Eating me
      Breaking me
          Keeping me alive
The image was out of focus
But through the cameras shattered lens
I caught a glimpse

        The smallest glimpse
Of what I knew would be the end
