When you're gone;

It's like standing between 2 worlds
in the middle of the real nowhere
starring at nothing at all
while watching your empty shadow fading away
things crawling into my soul
taking every memory I have left for you
all those dark alliens screaming at my shallow
being to forget about the 1 thing that I can sayI truly knew
I never knew how to let go of anything
even things that made me go through hell
I know now that I can let go of everything
But you're the big question wondering why ???
I'm always wondering why?
I really wish you would know how much I
I try to convince myselfwith a simple lie
people like me do that alot
we wait and wait beside the door
sittingon this cold freezing floor
waiting for ever
for something we'll get as soon as never
waiting for those clouds to disappear
and we can finally feelit so very near
thiswarmfeelings that everyone seeks
this honest warm moments
that break the ice thatis surrounding our hearts

And while everyone is telling you it'llbe ok
It's not!!!!!!!!
But time heals , or so they say
and eventually you'll learn how to hide
let go , but still hold on to memories so tight
It'll always be so much harder than you think
especially waking up everyday
But it's gonna get easier..... if you would just give yourself a break

Welcome to Pip, dear Sarah!

I enjoyed reading your first entry, it is a well rendered romantic and melancholic write. It also holds determination to overcome the pain, something that I always appreciate.

Love,
Margherita

I loved the last line in this.  People spend so much time beating themselves up for just being human... Well done and welcome!!! kat

enjoyed your poem and the feeling it gives to me. i am able to relate to that feeling. also, the name, sarah 45, caught my eye. i have a friend, sarah 2810. she works the 2800 shift at post 810 lambert international airport st. louis. i was a teacher for 40 years and now work for the boeing company. my two favorite hobbys are working and writing but not necessarily "favorite" in that order. i believe you have a future in writing. i sense character in your being! thank you for sharing your poem.
