The Future Foundation

It is not the convictions that something will turn out well
If we were logical the future would be bleak
But we are human beings
And we have faith and we have hope,

We try to build castles in the air
That is where they should be
But first we need the foundations under them
That is in are children,

Take hope from the heart, of our fellow man
And you make him a beast of pray
In a mood of faith and hope
My work goes on,

I am a writer and i take up my pen to write
Humility provides everyone even me who despairs in solitude
With the strongest relationship to my children
Arrogance just invites ruin

Original love never appears in pure form
But in veils and shapes
I wouldn't be human if i didn't feel pride
In my many achievements,

Thousands of candles can be lit from one candle
And the life of that candle will not be diminished
Real kindness seeks no return for your efforts
And this is how we should love our children,

They are the future, they are the foundation
Build them strong to secure the ongoing form of man
They need us but we need them more
In time; the foundation we provide now, will be solid,

Yep I agree with Mark.
I love the pure honesty of this.

This is precious because it's so true!
"Thousands of candles can be lit from one candle
And the life of that candle will not be diminished
Real kindness seeks no return for your efforts
And this is how we should love our children,"

There's a lot of them out there in street gangs etc. that look to their peers for guidance. Many never had the chance to be taught the principles of moral guidance by a parent that truly loves them.....

Take care

Eric

1st, I wanna say thanks 4 reading my poem.
Then, let's just say that I'm not that old enough to speak 4 myself, but I always hear my parents talking about how important the children are and how everything starts with them...So loved your poem and thanks again ....
