First Breath

if I could be any color
it wouldn’t be my favorite
for my favorite is red
excitedly fun and bold
but it would be something
very calming and polite
I wish
I could
be
green
with buds bursting softly
the beautiful earth’s blanket
to pull and wrap so cozy
tender tips of branches
of arms reaching always
a perfect hue of innocence
the shade of don’t leave stay
the spinning way it makes
your brain uncontrollably reel
for I would remember it clearly
even if I ever lost my sight
I could recognize it, green
the first breath of love

That is an inspiring write my friend and your choice of green is a wise one. Green to me is the most beautiful color on earth, I was born in a part of the state where droughts were all to prevalent and the greatest sight was to see the whole country explode in a vista of green after drought breaking rains. Much enjoyed.

Helen,

You can't get green
Without blue
and gold . . .

Yo daer Helen,

I cast another vote for red.  Wave that red banner proudly--comes the revolution.

I would want to be red...

blinding red.

Helen, I see you green now.

Yes, green, good choice. red is a nice color
but nature smiles in green.

I am partial to the colour green, myself!
~ and especially after reading your lovely description of it.

Surrounding you in a bubble of green Light for prosperity, healing, serenity, and new beginnings.

It is so much better to think of "green" as
"the first breath of love" rather than the tradtional and lonely 'with envy' phrase...nicely done...and may you have had a Merry Christmas.
