I wake each morning,
alone.
Throw back the blankets,
its so cold.
I try to erase my memories,
but each thought is a map to you.
Questions pile up like the pure snow outside,
they go unanswered.
I wonder how I can go through this again,
the build up,
the let down.
Unsure if its worth it,
the hope that only leads to pain.
smiling faces pass,
hands interlocked,
Unwanted jealousy knocks,
like the rhythm of my beating heart.
I keep my head held high,
As the tears I keep invisible continue to hide.

Lovely poem, but to answer your question to yourself, no, it's not worth it.  It is never worth it.  YOU are worth far more than that.  Don't think he will change, 'cos he won't.

Take the advice of a 63-year old woman who has been divorced for 34 years.  A constructive, positive, mutually beneficial relationship will:

1) make you both happy and harmonious
2) bring out the best in both of you
3) allow you both the freedom to be exactly who you are
4) make you both proud of each other and let each other know
5) not make each other jealous, and if one of you is jealous for an invalid reason, the other one will explain the misunderstanding with gentleness, kindness, understanding and compassion.

Rather be alone and make your own happiness, than with somebody who disrupts your harmony.  Of course, the ideal is to be with somebody who DOES make you happy, but until you find that somebody, make your own happiness.  It can be done.  I have done it, so I know.

Just meant to be helpful, not bossy.
