funny thing about your photo and soul
and the stealing you said might occur
before another possessed you for dreams,
and the momentary illusion that your eyes
are really looking back at my glances

are you just dressed up as a window
slender sided on both sides
with your depth not showing really
only the mirrors on water slight of hand
in the comfort of your very own gloves

you laughed out loud that time back then
when I built you out of dampened sand
at our cove in rincon, and got my shirt wet
when the tides came in too fast
as you were disolving into someone's mermaid

with a gravel voice never saying love words

It's amazing how much you can say without really saying it:

"with a gravel voice never saying love words"

...fine writing, indeed

Ahh..the one who loves too much and the one who loves not at all. Been there, caught by that tide. Thanks for sharing the lovely read.

Sorry I was off your target. I often find that many who connect to my poetry (in other places) have their own point of connection that is very different from my own.

Calli'  Some of the snapshots I present here are so momentary in context that they might appear to have another intention.  Consider just a split second of time and all of the thoughts that might enter that vast expanse of time...so goes my poetry.  thanks for the revisit

D

All kidding, innuendo and quick remarks aside, you are one of my very favorite poets on this site.  Okay, one of my very favorite poets anywhere.

I read your poems - every one of your poems - and I never fail to be mesmerized by how magically you use language.

Thank you for every poem that you have shared with me.

Once again I am impressed by how your poetic creativity weaves words into images that imprint themselves so powerfully upon the reader's mind.

Deeply inspiring and also daunting in a way.

Love,
