Hypothermia setting in,
My mind starts to crawl away.
Inching its way towards the end;
Past seas of mistakes.
Around mountains of accomplishments;
Down the highways of life.
Nothing in sight,
But white terror.
My eyes begin to strain.
Urging my body to live,
I feel my heart pulse,
Each beat a sign of hope.
A prayer in disguise,
Craving to be heard.
Running blood,
I’d thought had frozen
With one last pump,
Overcome by the cold.
My hope;
Has frozen.
