           Winter Night

With frozen clouds falling from
the frigid deep-December sky,
(to shatter on these ancient
   Hills)
as snowflakes whirl-dance
in the whistling winter wind
and gathering moonlight shadows,
all conflicting emotions of the day
surrender to this crystal night
in effortless enlightenment.

I just wish it would snow enough to be able to enjoy it.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

We haven't had any snow in Philadelphia yet.  The neighborhoods ready for it though.

Nice poem about snow and stuff.

Light with grace and beauty and heavy with emotion, Bruce.  I especially love the last 3 lines.

I'm ready to see the white stuff and not just sleet.
Liked that ending.
