A heavy melancholy mist hangs over loon lake.
Hidden from prying eyes
by a dense shelter of mourning reeds,
a lone loon wails the loss of his love.

This conjures the images and sounds of such a haunting refrain...I love the musical ache of the loons, but this seeps of lonely.  You wrote a marvelous piece...enjoyed!  kat

Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxquisitely beautiful, though so achingly sad, Kacy.

So very lovely Kacy.  The poem is nice too.

peace be with you as you listen to the loon, for at least he knows what it is he misses.

Though I have never heard the loon, i hear his sorrow through your words and I hurt so intensely, I feel like mourning with him ...

This is heartbreakingly poignant.

Love and hugs.

Dear Kacy, that is a short post but so very sweet and poignant. We don't have loons in Australia but I have a CD that features the

haunting call of the loons and I love it.
I sincerely hope you are feeling good again
and your troubles are all behind you. Love.

Lindsay
