      Tempest Prelude

The gentle moonlight window
frames a razor-edge waning
crescent in evanescent calm,
(moored with ragged clouds
and caged by silent, gently
tumbling galaxies)
while a most beguiling
  winter wind
sings its snow-soft serenade
before the most divine chaos
  to come.

I like the sound of a 'snow-soft serenade'.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

Yes, that's winter for you.

For some reason this brought back memories of light blocked windows covered with a layer of ice.  My house must be warmer these days, and that's good.

This poem reminds me of the wind slamming snow into our house during the winter storms.  The house would rock as the wind whistled.

Beautiful writing, Bruce.

Too true!

Nicely set in the scene of your descriptions.......

Prelude indeed....Esp here in Canada.
