I Walk Alone Tonight

I walk alone tonight,
by the withered wood.

I walk aside deep dark roots,
beneath a misty lambent light.
A shrewd gloom resides bewildered,
within this prodigious place.

I walk alone in tenacious winds,
through the tall whispering trees.
A tall tree cannot tell,
but strange knowledge remains.

I walk aside abundant mounds,
there's shrieking grove abound.
I have worn these layers,
but the piercing chill prevails.

I walk alone tonight,
to a cold dark place.

Thank you, edited a bit since submission. I've never really done this before, but I have always been told to make use of my writing, a skill I have, so I'm told. I dunno enough of my bragging. Thought it was time I start all the same. Haven't done this since school. Although it would be criticism I seek amongst the praise I don't quite deserve for a first time.

And I do be pessimistic thus living from else's critique.

That bone cold is hard to warm when it gets cold like that.

enjoy very much your poem, the loneliness is chilly as the woods you cross, it makes me think a lot, very thoughtful and communicant.
