Bones is on his regular corner,
waiting for a client,
any client will do.

A car drives up,
motions him over,
and asks how much.

Bones gives the client his usual fees,
and a deal is made for a night.

The client drives bones
over to a regular looking
kind of place.

The client escorts Bones inside.

“Okay Mister,
what’s your pleasure,
do you want me to
take my clothes off?”

“No,
that won’t be necessary son,
are you hungry?”

“Yeah Mister, I could eat.”

The client serves Bones
a nice hot meal
of spaghetti and meat sauce,
it’s real good,
and Bones loves it.

Bones hasn’t eaten in a while.

“Okay Mister,
thanks for the good spaghetti,
do you want me to
take my clothes off now?”

“No,
you’re kind of dirty though,
how would you like a nice bath?”

“Yeah Mister,
that would be okay.”

Bones gets a nice hot shower.
The client has clean clothes
for Bones to wear,
just his size.

“Yo Mister, what’s going on—
why you treating me so good?”

“I used to do what you do son,
I just thought you might like a break.

Now go to sleep,
and I’ll take you back
to your corner in the morning.”

Next morning,
the client drives Bones
back to his corner.

The client offers Bones
his hand.

Bones grabs the client’s hand,
kisses it,
and dives out of the car.

I have to tell you, Bobby, this was an emotional read. ~ and Bone's kissing the man's hand really got to me. A simple ~ yet monumental ~ show of appreciation for that man's kindness.
God bless them both.

It's great to hear a happy ending to Bones's story, I'll bet that doesn't happy very often. Good write Bobby.

Thanks LindsayP,

No, I'm afraid it doesn't happen very often.  However, it does happen every once in a while.

I'm pleased this one worked well for you.
