if I could have picked your name sound
it would have been a highway one
and I would still know your shoulders
as my daily prayed for curveations

my eyes would travel you in chariots
pretending I was one with the gods
or the pharaohs that had left their mummies
and were tasting the wine of your wickedry

as they too used your mountains first
and then your valleys for their poems
before bathing their eyes in your waters
and writhing their shapes into your sand

I would be the last to leave you then

patient as the statues that lean
against the wind of your breathing

I feel like I am reading a National Geographic from the dark side. (take that as a compliment)
I do enjoy your prose.
I wish I had the talent to make my words ring and dance as yours do, as they twist their way from your mind to ours,

Maybe the J & C and a fine Cigar might help.
