I walk alone in dream
   Stripped
         Confused
               Cautious
   Surrounded by grey - directionless

Ahead
bursts of light draw me onwards
         towards unknown vistas
                   unmapped futures

My feet fall softly
  in echo of heartbeats
        Mists part
           and he is here
coated in Joseph’s colours

KA-BOOM! Rockets blaze
Ribbons of prism light
            flow into me
                  through me

Clothed in garments of sunrise
   I am embraced
            Sheltered
              Protected from loneliness
       He smiles in welcome

ahead is
   Joy
          Intimacy
                Friendship
behind
   Loneliness
          Uncertainty
                    Fear

I stroke his mouth with my lips
   A cocktail, savoury and sweet
        sugar or salt

Slowly – I turn away
  Retrace my past
                Familiar
                      Safe
                          Alone

Always do more than is required of you George Patton

Dear Kethry, it's so good to find you back on these pages and with such a poignant, most beautiful write!

Even a small caress of love's true essence, brings healing to a lonely heart.

Love,
Margherita

Ah, Keth... you've penned a gentle punch. *S* Exquisite crafting... and a reminder that sometimes, we craft our own hells. *S*

Fantastic!!

Oh this sings to me! I love it!

And with that deep analysis carefully logged, I'm going straight back to read it again -- right now.

And I did!

....yep, it rang bells the second time, too.

It has been a long time since being able to read one of your works and I must say, this was a treat to read.  My favorite part ....

----------------------------------
"My feet fall softly
  in echo of heartbeats
        Mists part
           and he is here
coated in Joseph’s colours"
------------------------------------

and of course you know because that is where the color comes in.  A wonderful read and treat to see you here.

Kethry, you're back with a BEAUTY of a write!
I literally got all goosebumply!

The entire poem was 'brilliant'!

"Ahead
bursts of light draw me onwards
         towards unknown vistas
                   unmapped futures"

Sending a warm hug and smiles across the miles,
Linda
