Dear Oklahoma Rose,

The beauty of a Rose is hard to beat;
but you, my dear lady, are such a treat.
You have had hard times and tearful ones too.
Here’s my Christmas gift that I bring for you.

Look in the mirror and take time to see
all of your gifts and your inner beauty.
You’d like me to drop a man from my sleigh.
Hey!  It really doesn’t work out that way

A man is out there just waiting for you;
a partner and friend who will remain true.
So just take a deep breath; trust me and believe.
He’ll be more than a gift under your tree.

You grow stronger as you stand on your own;
this doesn’t mean you will end up alone.
It means there is more of you to share and give
as you show others how to regroup and live.

So, my dear Rose, for this Christmas season

remember

all the trials of life have a reason.

Merry Christmas,
Santa Claus

Tis the season, not for getting, but for giving.  We all have desires and needs, and some are well deserved.

Shareing and thinking of others needs makes one feel better than getting.

I feel bad that I can not give as much as I would like to the ones I love, so I try to do what money can't buy.

Alison, You have done that beautifully,
Well done.   Merry Christmas.

Oh my! I read this beautiful, sweet poem this morning before I went to work. I am so sorry I didn't have time to leave a reply, before I left to go work. But, I will tell you this, it was a great way to start my day. I try so hard to patiently wait for that special one to come to me. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift that comes straight from your sweet and kind heart. You have truly touched my heart with this beautiful poem.
