Do you leave us
because of the past,
your last writes were
so melancholical,
you shared a love
without boundaries
and an accuracy
of the forests,
of the horses,
of the fighting men,
that I will remember
a long long time,
blessing you
for being so clever
about human parenthesis.
Adieu ma chère amie.

What a lovely write for our Owlie.
Each of us must choose when to stay or leave, but when a key member such as Diana leaves suddenly, it hurts.

Yann, you are a very tender-hearted poet and I am pleased that you posted this for our venerable Owl.

Here is what I posted in Owl's good-bye announcement.

Diana, I truly hope that you will reconsider leaving. You are a compelling presence, here at pip. You are loved, admired and respected by those who have come to know you through your moving poetry, your caring ways, your wisdom and your strength and inner (as well as outer ) beauty. My friendship will be with you wherever you go ~ whatever you do.

Sending lots of love your way,
Your friend,
Linda

My very dear friend, Yann, I wasn't going to post any replies in Pip again.  By now, you and many of my dear friends, including Kacy and Linda who have responded above, will already have received an email to explain my reason.  However, this beautiful, warm, kind tribute you have written for me cannot go without my honouring it with the very best response I can give.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I will treasure this poem and it will go along with all the others of yours that I have saved into my PIP - Yann Rolland folder.

Yann, Kacy, Linda - I will miss you and all my other beautiful friends here - as well as your and their beautiful poetry.  You will all always hold a very special place in my heart.  I would love to maintain our friendship in emails.

Thank you for all the kindness you have shown me.

Lots of love
- Owl

Dear Yann, you have such a kind way about you ... this is a beautifully sensitive write for our beloved Owl.

Mais ne dis pas adieu, mais au-revoir, je t'en prie!

Love,
Margherita

I was so overwhelmed by your poem, Yann, and the wonderful email responses from you and so many others - the deep concern, the support, the reassurance, the wise advice, the humour, everything about them.  Every one of them was greatly appreciated.

On the strength of that and also the wonderfully wise advice and also some introspection, and, although I feel my hurt and anger at what happened was understandable - I have realised that I overreacted in running away.  I can't imagine not meeting with all of you in PIP as often as I can, nor reading and responding to your poetry, nor posting and enjoying your responses and responding to them.  It is bad enough when time prevents me from reading and responding as much as I would like, but to have my own perverse pride, hurt and anger, doing that, really is just plain silly. I can overcome what happened and smile again.

Thank you Yann and my other kind wonderful Pipster friends.

We have an Owl in our lives through whose eyes we too find the way out of darkness.
