Rescued from A scene of terror

====================================
Albeit forgiveness has never been
put to test this far,
still he can feel Bodhi is gaining
lead very slowly.
His feet, naked, at first cringe to move
over splashes of blood
and then cells, the nerves become numb,
wise, indifferent.
The particles of lives, now shattered,
still warm and moving
open rivulets of salted grief.
Obsession with life
is all he can feel while being rescued
from a terror- scene,
in his heart there is no desire.

Look at the sun and
undivided sky, all of a sudden
nothing…nothing bears any meaning. © 2008 - All Rights Reserved Kushal Poddar

Dear ((((Kushal)))), thank you dear Poet for this. Pure terror indeed! Your words say more than images ...

We are witnessing things that should never ever enter human mind.

Love and hugs.

You paint the scene vividly, but with deep understanding and feeling.
Wishing you peace and calm, my friend.
Namaste.

I have been watching the situation in India very closely in fact I have a friend that I talk to on another site who lives in Mumbai that I haven't been able to get in touch with and I am worried about her. I feel so sad for all the terror victims. Take care, Ku.

Yo Poddarku,

I have many old friends and business associates in Mumbai.

The attack made me very sad.  Mumbai is one of my favorite places.

Spending another moment of silence with you, embracing the world and projecting love to all involved. I think the perpetrators need love more than anything else, may their hearts open to love, so that they can release hatred.

Love, my friend.

The maiming, the deaths, and the destruction is all beyond human comprehension. Your descriptive, gut-wrenching depictions brought the terror closer than the news programs ever could.

Love, Harmony, & Peace,

My heart froze and I think my breathing stopped too - and all that was moving were my tears down my cheeks throughout my reading of your sensitive depiction of "Man's inhumanity to Man", as Robert Burns put it - and the ache will resonate long after I have finished this response.

Every single one of us has an obligation to humanity to do whatever we can - in whatever peaceful way we can - to make the world a happier and safer place. You are doing it, Kushal, by highlighting the plight of these people.  In years to come, I know it will be your poem that will last far longer in my memory than the graphic reports on Television news.

Thank you so very much for caring.  And thank you for being safe.
