Wrinkled and old
she turns to God
to offer, at last,
her worn-out soul.
As her own past deeds
fade in her mind,
she is quick to
judge others
and is not always kind.
She has found her truth
but the devil and I
remember her youth...
and we smile.

Thank you, Pantheress, I really know a person like this. In fact I've known more than one.

Dear Ida, I'm smiling as well. A portrait that I have seen many a time ~ and you have painted it well.

As they say, "It's never too late!" lol

Love you!

Yo dear Ida,

The truth never changes, and doesn't belong to anyone.  It is always there.

Dear Ida, even black sheep turn into white when they grow old. It's a funny process, that when this happens, they look for black sheep to point at  ...

You are such a good observer and I am happy that you share your real life sketches with us.

Ida, my friend, I have known many people like this. They were always so quick to judge. Never able to see their on bad deeds.
