They were my Autumn flowers

one sang of pink
in hazel vision

the other's brown,
his spirit solid

they crowned my field

before
the Spring womb
froze

I knit them close
within my breasts
wrapped in wools
maternal pattern

and vowed protection,
everlasting

to my flowers

delivered dawns
before
the winds
blew home.

I have never had the knack and feel as though I am missing something vital when I read about them in your words.

I can feel your love for them. It is moving, inspiring, deep. So well penned. This is beautiful, as are you.

Michele - at times when I read your poetry I'm at a lost what to write for a reply. This is one of those times. Excellent...

Your poems bring visuals along with emotions and to me, that is admirable.  Lovely work again.
