Bones loves his life,
and he’s happy
he’s around.

He’s got friends galore,
real ones, and others
that buy his friendship
for just awhile.

Then of course
there’s his good old lady,
who looks after him
as best she can,
and God bless her for that.

Of course the crowning glory
is his precious Griselda,
the love of his life.

She loves him for his real self,
and not just for his body.

She talks to him,
and she listens to him,
she understands him,
and everything about him.

Bobby

So I put it back up.  Bones and I don't give a rats whatever if you like it or not, we like it.

This must be death-wish season.

Thanks Yann,

For being charitable enough to read my poem.  I’m pleased you found it has some essential qualities.

Bones, of course, is a very lucky person.

This is very serene, dear Bobby.  And it fits the Day of Thanksgiving too, there is a sense of gratitude woven within. To love life, despite its duality, is indeed a blessing.

Love,

Thanks dear Margherita,

Yes it is a blessing.

As you know, Bones did not leave us willingly.

Bobby - I read that Griselda is precious. Have you written her a poem of romance...

Of course the crowning glory
is his precious Griselda,
the love of his life.

Thanks Bill,

No, I haven't written Griselda a love poem.  That's for Bones to do.  You trying to get me killed or what?  Please remember that Bones has that razor in his pocket.

Perhaps Bones will share one with us.  We can only ask.

"Bones loves his life,
and he’s happy
he’s around."

~ That says it all! His was not the
easiest life to live, but he lived it with gratitude. God bless him.

I fail to grasp this concept of "gratitude".  To what or who?  I mean I understand being grateful to your parents for example.  Or to someone who did right by you.  But I am perplexed beyond that.

Lobsang, to me gratitude means having a thankful heart for what one does have and not dwelling on that which one has not.

Lobsang, to my way of thinking, the thankfulness can be directed to Whomever or whatever one chooses or believes in. ~ Or simply being happy for what one has ~ no matter how small or insignificant it may appear to others.
