And the universe bespoke the truth
into the ears of womanhood
but she who waited, dreamt, believed,
thought wax into her ears
and a sparkle into her blue eyes
for all that they beheld.

Her mind she pulled into these times
and tied the reins around, around,
the gate that once was open wide
to the strange and mysterious.

She tethered love to stakes of past
and resolved the issues of her heart
as a method, means, of walking tall
until in death she’s humbled.

Today the universe and her
like two peas in a pod
cuddle up and cry, bemoan,
the fate of womanhood.

But ‘tis a thing they know is done
for time ran out on her
and try as might the universe
can’t return a conscious objector
to the wait, dream, and belief.

The universe will one day go
to find another willing slave
to hold and nurture love
but she is done for love, you know,
never called her name three times!

Hi Roniece!  And I'd love to write them all day but sadly it's "Ho, Ho" times for me, i.e. back to work I've gone and will keep going ... until I don't anymore.

Love

Linda - I do believe in miracles but to get a man to listen to what a woman has to say ... no, I don't think it will ever happen.  It would be nice to be proved wrong though.

Helen dear, when you find the right man he will listen, that's for sure. I wish you luck. Love.

"Slave" isn't a concept coined by Universe, I think. Universe serves you instead, but it wants your clear indications of your most heartfelt, deeply cherished desires to provide you with what you are wishing for. If you think you are done with love ... universe writes that in its notebook . Well, you know of course!

Fine Sunday story, offered to us in beautiful poetic form by your highly active mind.

Dear Helen, enjoy this Sunday and write another story that will capture Universe's attention and ours too.
Love,
Margherita

There is that word "LOVE" again. Is there really any such thing? This is beautifully written.
