It should have been
my dance
when the caller
called
"gentlemen pick a lovely lassie"

I wanted to blind you
in a permanent flash
of blonde

it should of been
my hand
to be taken

but instead
you preferred the gal
with the tresses
of brown.

Yo dear Inkedgoddess,

I like this poem.  Hang in there hon, he'll get tired of mousy brown.

I bet Miss Mousy didn't have a book of poetry published like the blond goddess has! Your book has arrived and I'm thrilled with it!

inkedgoddess - why any one would turn down a dance with you is beyond me. Am I correct in saying you have published a book of poetry. If so, how did you do it. Do you have a publisher, or did you do it yourself...

Thanks kids
Just want to clarify in case my brunette sisters read..No knock on brunettes or redheads at all, just a blonde on the loose wanting to cha cha with the man in blue.

As always, nice flow in this one and this cowboy would cha cha with you anytime.  I enjoyed.  Might I suggest you check the spelling on your title.
