I play the world as bright and fun
But see so many grays of day
My questions seem to block the sun
And then in thought I come to stay

So often too much time to think
Can be a curse that leads the mind
To conjure what could seem the brink
With only grayer shades to find

Funny how we fool today
With mind in game of dark and fine
A flaw within does find a way
To fill and pester sacred time

But I have found my way to bliss
Though world and fate will take my hand
I live through dream and what I wish
And worry not of where I land

I paint the grays with colours bright
And question less to find the sun
Accept the dark and search the light
To dream of joy when day is done

For we are here just now with chance
To venture and with life to play
Though down at times I take a glance
And find I’ve friends to love today

So once again I say good day
And tell myself of special things
That come when drifting just away
With daydream and the joy it brings
