there were always arrows in our sand
like scattered grass without wind
and you looked for cupids with bows

but found only the fences instead
like the smooth stones on parade
and wise men in straight white rows

and who dreams these dreams of love
was your question mark as a tattoo
made in lipstick on my new white shirt

you closed open your eyes then
and listened to the sand pretending
it was just another day of rain

and that my hands were your only rivers

That's a woman's priority ... almost always! Such a delicate, sensitive, beautiful vision to begin with, dear D.!

Love the title too. You are so cute.

Love,
Margherita

Properly presented and conveyed.  I do still wonder why the marksman with the bow has to wear a diaper though.  Hidden meaning he isn't telling us????? hmmmm
Seeing your perspective on life is always inspiring.
