.

A small basement
Hooded wooden bar
With two stools

On the wall
A plastic sign
For beer

Showing
Two horses
One of them
Man of War

Dimly lit
An old table
For playing pool

Country songs
On the radio

About cheating hearts
And other unfaithful
Non-particulars

And some body

Crying yelling
Screaming
At someone

For nothing
All the time

John,

I try and stay out of places where they have country songs playing on the radio.  Places like that drag me down.

Sounds like somebody's blueprint for Heaven was so misguided it became everybody's Hell.

This ain't no "feel-good" poetry, but it's excellent.

Not my kind of place either, especially because of the yelling, but I enjoyed looking through the window.

Yes, a remembrance that still exists in consciousness.
Thank you,
Hal
