            Autumn Dreams

An elegant, subtle-silver, November
  evening moon
glides a timeless, infinite stellar
  sea
in deep-private contemplation
of these misty rocks, and fallen
  leaves
from a thousand bare and rigid trees...
(steadfast sentinels standing tall)
in stately, silent requiem to
all past and future fleeting-
  Autumn dreams.

A lovely autumnal requiem of silent beauty.

Secondhanddreampoet,

Yes indeed, the moon is very elegant.  This is a fine poem about the moon, I like it.

Those are some mighty fine sentinels you write of, poet.

Bruce,

You write words that paints pictures in my mind.  I find myself taking pictures of the moon and thinking of you and your poetry.
