.

Almost feral
In consciousness
And comprehension

Dawn rarely came
On any consistency
And dusk all too often
Brought a darkness
Of its own

I’m afraid
Distance and time
Have not been
Particularly kind
To history

So somehow now
It doesn’t seem
All that much
A mystery

The best picture
I ever took of her
Was in a barn

Wonderful portrait, John. I happen to love barns, so barn shots hold special favor.

Lol I know how that goes.  It has an eeriness knowing that it isn't just beauty, but a part of us that makes us treasure something.
