Mom’s having a devil of a time
with Bones.

He’s gone and turned indolent.

All he wants to do
is lay around the house.

She can’t get him out
to work the streets.

She’s at her wits end.

Luckily she has
a new man
in the house.

She gets the new man
to talk to Bones.

The new man is an animal.

He drags Bones up to a bedroom
on the second floor
for a little talk.

Mom hears Bones crying,
begging,
and screaming
for the new man
to stop beating him.

After that,
Mom has no more trouble
with Bones.

Bobby

Indolent??! Poor Bones has good reason to be far more than that!
A sad, unthinkable scenario that raises the righteous indignation in me!!! God bless him!

I won't say anything about Bone's Mom.

Thanks dear Linda,

I'm glad you saw it that way.

As Tiny Tim once said--"God bless us everyone."

Thanks dear Ida,

That's probably a wise move on your part.  As you know, Bones doesn't like people ragging on his Mom.

My heart breaks for bones.. Leaves me feeling ill.. May God give him inner strength.. To survive the trails of life and grow into a wonderful man..

Thanks dear Pantheress,

Bones is a composite of two old friends.  One did grow into a wonderful man.  He's now a retired cab driver here in Philadelphia.

The other one is dead now about thirty some years.  He got drunk one night, and while riding our old elevated railroad here in the hood, he fell down between the cars, and was crushed to death on the rails.  I miss him.

Please don't be ill.

Love Bobby

Sounds like Bones is in real trouble this time Bobby, you had better go and rescue him
before it's to late.

Thanks Lindsay,

For your concern.

Bones is pretty good about taking care of himself.  He'll be just fine.

We're all tough guys here in the hood.

Life can be soooo sad at times..
But makes for great poetry,smiles..
Bones is obviously embedded in your heart, You know where to find them, when you miss him still.. Take care of you..God can't be every where.. That's why he made friends..
Be safe..

Sad stuff, this bones has been through.

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.

Thanks dear Pantheress,

For your very kind words.  Yes, that's why God made friends.  I don't know what I would do without my friends, and relatives.  I'm very lucky to have them.  You’re a very wise lady.

Thanks Paul,

Yes, Bones did have a very troubled and unhappy childhood.

Bones is a composite of two old friends, one died in an accident on the elevated railway, and one is doing very well in his old age.
