a black and white
photograph
of a rainbow

a bird’s nest
found
in winter

form
is emptiness

emptiness
is form

I once walked
through the ashes
of my bedroom
on eight year old feet
and saw my 947 legos
were no longer
a barn
or a rocket
but a splashless
red puddle

emptiness
is form

form
is emptiness

What a traumatizing experience for one so young.

The stark images portrayed in your black and
white photographic writing, are very effective in conveying emptiness.

When I was five our house burned down. I had one prized possession, a little red and yellow radio. When I found it, it was a ball of melted plastic with tubes sticking out every which way. I can sure relate to this, brought back memories.
