         Vale of Time

Fine, dark clouds of Autumn-
  splendor passing
wisper winter to a thousand
  shadows
frozen on these ancient hills
  of gathering ghosts
that shimmer in the restless-
  twilight wind,
through this empty place
of moonlit sorrows and
  memories,
slipping away forever
along the vale of Time.

The vale of time is a circle...so it is never really far away.
