I’m getting over him
One quarter at a time
With each sad song
That jukebox plays
With each lonely tear
That salts my tequila
So bartender set ‘em
Up again
Lay those silver quarters
Down
Heal my heart with
A sad country sound
Or some bluesy sax
Playing to my soul
Let the music sweet
Music
Send his memory
That much farther away
With each note
Each word
Til he fades
Like a sad refrain
Bartender set ‘em
Up again
Silver quarters going down
Like this tequila
And his memory
