A Long Kiss

A long kiss on the lips, with love around you,
like gentle touching blossoms soft and wet,
is filled with a nectar to drug and blind you
bringing glowing hypnotic waves from the chest.
A long kiss savoured is insanity flavored,
a craving for dreamers to taste the prize
of yeilding hearts sending all human reason
adrift in circles of love through the mind.

A long kiss speaks, but not words you can conquer.
A long kiss sings, but not songs you can sing.
A long kiss sails on the windsongs of matter
caught up in the flight of an alien on wing.
A long kiss can torch your heart to continue
burning with fire long after it's over
a flame left roaring deep within you
a molten addiction invading the sober.

A long kiss can heal diminished duende,
a soothing connection for those sharing gifts,
and truth or pretense for a few precious moments
there's time to enjoy true love as you wish.

ethome - your romantic writings are well, great romantic writings, always enjoy reading them. And to write all this about a kiss, is just well, even more romantic...

Hi darling man, I’ve missed your writing so much. This is positively delicious, and makes me want to pucker up. Still, darling man you always did have the ability to write words that made pulses quicken and breath catch in throats didn’t you? Mmmmmm indeed you do.

Take care dear friend, look after yourself

Yo Ethome,

This is very good work, and I like it.

Thanks for teaching me a new word “duende”.

I think it should be “yielding”, not “yielding”.

Very romantic on a snowy night.  Who doesn't love a long kiss - and you write of it so well.

Now I'm hankering for a looooong kiss!
Where are soft, wet lips filled with nectar, when I need them?!?

~ A pleasure to read! Divine in the experiencing!

A long kiss can speak volumes, and sure enough light that fire.

I do believe the "guitar man" knows AND feels the nuances of life.  You write it well as always and as always, a pleasure to read you.

"yeilding hearts sending all human reason
adrift in circles of love through the mind"

imho, your most apt description of the effects of such a kiss--well done...excellent writing
