I watched your shuffling of smooth
for a month of sundays you were easy
on the eyes and on the hopeability

like a car sales machine with grease on
and your cocoa puff commentary
how you had a lot of magic in your wand

and could find the middle of a road
in the gutter of any one way
even during rush hour you could change

directions with out losing your traction
and that was the attraction too
for so many with hungry for healing on

but before you dealt, I saw you renege

Oh man!  I was playing Pinochle the other night - had a wonderful hand and was going to end the game in a hurry.  Yep, I reneged.

D, your poetry does something to me inside myself.

To hear that it is political makes me understand it too and I think it is a very sharp-edged write, presented with your extraordinary linguistic dominance.

Love,

Yes, I agree with Maureen.  But, I still reneged on an dreamer hand in cut-throat, double deck Pinochle.

And, I still feel your poems inside.

chocolate-y goodness
floating, waiting to be dunked
