Sparrow or eagle I envy them all Majestic, regal They piercingly call Or chirp joyfully As they flit through the air I’ve dreamt that was me Set free from my care The dreams of a boy To be one with the wind Like a favourite toy The dream has not dimmed Yet here I remain My head rules my heart Amidst all my pain This life is my part The burdens of life Bind me to this earth The truth, like a knife Kills my dream at its birth What we cannot see We can still believe Force reason to flee Enjoy being naive |
