I long for days when nights were blessed with hope
And dreams were cast in brightest light so clear
When mem'ries soft like feathered flights eloped
With faith-like schemes and simple thoughts endeared

To safety's ledge of resting's place adorned
By pleasant plans that capture wishes made
In solitude by using skills unborn
And yet are called, then simply are portrayed

As that which rescues hearts by taking flight
In cloudless cares of foregone steps to show
That hope of day rests in the sleep of night
And shadows cast are surely meant to flow

Like currents deep and steppe-filled chasms wide
That keep the soul and give to hope its ride

Hey again

"When mem'ries soft like feathered flights eloped" Great line there, nice and 'soft' peaceful imagery. Very evocative poem that does well to encourage thoughts on the power and joy of hope. We all need it!
Keep writing! - ben

Yo Steavenr,

Why start each line with a cap?  Where is the Standard English Language punctuation?  That seems to be impossibility for many here.  That’s rather sad.

What a wonderful fullness to your expression here in Sonnet.

This yearning comes from a rich experience, and didn't seem sad...more introspective...
Once we have been visited by true joy, there is no settling.

Enjoyed the view through your gentle words.

steavenr...Smooth flow and tenderly written.
Enjoyed very much...Paul

As for the capital letters I say it is fine and to each his own. I can't see why anyone would critize the use of capital letters.
