Ever since the Phillies
won the World Series,
I can’t seem to get
Bones out of my head,
and the way he died.

He was such a fan,
and of course,
so was I.

He would have loved it.

Bobby

Perhaps he is up in heaven with an IPOD listening to the "Boys of Summer".

Bones watched. They have super ultra high powered binoculars in heaven.

Some people fall in love and touch the sky, some people fall in love and find quicksand.

Hey

Really love your creation and development of a character! I'm sure that can't be easy to do, takes time and perseverance. Although I must be honest at times I don't see alot in the poetical aspect of these poems it's much appreciated.
I hope I don't offend! Feel free to tear into me if i do
Keep writing!

bittersweet memories are sometimes the best...sorry he missed the feeling that only comes with a World Series victory...grew up near St. Louis and we had our share when I was a kid (64, 67, and we were robbed in 68--at least that's how I remember it)

Thanks Freely_expressing,

It's really not hard to develop characters if you are close to the person you're writing about.

Dear RDB,

I don't know much about Australian Baseball.  However, baseball is really a pretty simple game, so I would imagine the rules are the same.

The Internet says that there is an Australian Baseball Federation.

I'm sure that your nephew will enjoy the game.

Thanks Steavenr,

I remember those Cards from the sixties.  They were a good team.  The Soxs I don't remember much about, as the Phillies were of course in a diiferent league.
