.

As my friend
Drew near
He put his hand
On my shoulder

Our horses
Touched noses

The sun’s rays
Broke through
Dark clouds
In the West

It is
Not over—

There is much
Still to do
In the world

And I looked
At that good man
I’ve always known

And answered
Yes

Nice work John,

This is very Arthurian.

I love this - all of it, but especially:

He put his hand
On my shoulder

Our horses
Touched noses

I think this is probably my favourite poem of yours so far, for many, many reasons besides the artistic one.

there is a special conciousness about this...a fanning of the flame of the eternal spirit in a quiet, unassuming way...multiple read enjoyment
