fountain of youth

my watering vessel
patiently lingers
to christen you

see my inner spirit
sip my elixir
restore yourself

seek fresh strength from our bond
for my spring is your
fountain of youth

I think this one has more levels than I will ever be able to see, but I do know that I like where this one takes me...gonna go back and read it several times again

steavenr - thank you for such a close read, and I hope that my writing "has more levels."  I try.

Here are a few explanations:
to christen you ... I was thinking, christen- to give name to
for my spring is your  ... spring- to come into existence
Does this help?

Thank you again for replying.

Yo dear Janette,

I'm sorry to hear about Chicagolands Studs Terkel passing away.

Love Bobby

JamesMichael - thank you for your reply

2islander2 - "spring" ... my favorite too, a deep love coming into existence ... thank you for seeing that

inkedgoddess - Thanks.  You made me smile at your perceptions.

Robert E. Jordan - I was never a listener/follower of Studs Terkel thus I needed a mind refresher as to his life.

Studs Terkel, prize-winning author and radio broadcast personality, best remembered for his oral histories of common Americans.  Terkel died peacefully in his Chicago home on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the age of ninety-six.

"Take it easy, but take it."  The sign-off line on his WFMT radio show

An interesting motto that embodied his principles.

Thank you for stating your sympathy.
