Yes
One does
Remember
How it was
Before going up
To be alone

Too much perhaps
As it usually has a way
Of making—that then
Chosen solitude
Preferred

And yet still
There are moments
Especially
When the wind
Brings home
In the pale blue air
A fragrance of flowers

Through years
On the mountain
The silent wisdoms
Of a stolid man

From this cold high place
A little snow comes down
To melt in your hand

Oh I just loved this.  There is a certain softness that will melt even the hardest, and coldest.  Well, that is how I took this, and I like my interpretation     A hermit can come in all forms and be in many places.
