Attention fellow Pipsters in this pre-recorded poem
I can offer you a timeshare in a sub-prime mortgage home.
This is not deceptive lending nor a predatory scam.
(Defaulting institutions will be backed by Uncle
Sam)

Please skip all of this fine print as just so much legalese,
above a certain threshold money does just as it please
without consideration that the piper must be paid
which brings us to our next point of just how such money's made.

By the sweat of working families crumbling underneath the weight
of great financial burdens heaped on undeserving plates.
As subsequent decisions based on logic flawed at best
robbed them of their nesteggs and then foreclosed on their nests.

And so it is I bring to you this pre-recorded poem,
Though by the time you hear it there may well be no-one home.

It has to get better right?

The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone.

Karen,
I'd most certainly be honored, thanks.

Ceinwyn,
Thanks. I dunno. If you believe that it's always darkest before the dawn, perhaps. But, when it really comes to screwing things up politicians of all categories seem to be
hands down the most efficient at it. That being the case, and being rather cynical as the last three administrations have done their best to curse the largest segment of the American people with what has got to be the worst standard of living I've witnessed in my lifetime, I would say, it will most probably get worse.

Yes, you tell it like it is.  There's always a ripple effect from American turbulence and we in South Africa must just float as best we can.

Enjoyed your pre-recorded poem!

Your pre-recorded poem should be the opener for a 60 minutes edition on the Monday before election day.  Much enjoyed your perspective and thanks for recording it digitally for clarity.

Helen,
Thank you for your reply, just trying to bring a little humor to a very depressing subject.
Doc

Mark,
Lol! Thanks, but somehow I don't think 60 minutes is going to pick up on this one.

You're so right Dr. Moose. Our country is in such a mess and the sad part is, I don't see anyone on the horizon with the leadership skills to do any thing about it.

Sometimes the truth really hurts, and then again, sometimes it makes you laugh.  This did both.  Good one Moose!

Ida,
Thanks, I agree. The politicos can talk all they want about how " we're all in this together ", but when it comes right down to it,
that's all bs and the taxpayer is the only one to bear the burden.
Doc

Mysteria,
Thanks, I try to find the humor in most everything, I guess it's a survival tactic.
Doc

steavenr,
Thanks, glad you enjoyed. As the saying goes,
keep working hard the other 3/4 of the population is depending on you.
Doc

Artic Wind,
Lol, thanks, groupie applications can be picked up the front desk @ the "stute".
