All Hallow’s Eve
by Linda L. Dowd

Rolling in with mists and fog banks,
legions rise from crypts and graves.
On this eve of Darkness hallowed,
evil spews from hadean caves.

From vilest depths of degradation,
skirling screams in endless dire.
They rise from odious bowels of evil,
where demons dwell in Devil's Fire.

Woeful souls rove halls unholy,
they squeal and shriek in hellish home.
Their evil deeds cast them to Hades,
where forever they will roam.

There's no redemption for the wicked,
they chose the path away from God.
Heinous acts spun karmic wheel,
now roads of brimstone they do trod.

Rolling in with mists and fog banks,
legions rise from crypts and graves,
On this eve of Darkness hallowed,
evil spews from hadean caves.

~

I have to break out my night light tonight! Seriously, the picture gives me the creeps.  This reminds me of my friend's Uncles hotel.  It is haunted by James Buchanan, yeah the 15th president.  I didn't know about him until I met my friend. My mom's boyfriend said he's probably haunting the place because he wants attention Uhh when I went to take a shower, my socks were like near the shower and when I stepped out of the bathroom they were outside of the door.  Apparently, he's a tidy ghost! Oh and he likes to open doors too! My friend's Mom's door was opened right in front of them while they were talking.  Spppoooky!! Needless to say I didn't leave my friend's side during my visit.

Lots of hugs & love to you,
Tink

Dear Poetess, that poem is written with perfect rhyming in a most descriptive way.
If I could only write poetry like that. Take a bow you brilliant poet. Love you dear Linda.

Avoiding those hadean caves is a very good idea! Not even this 'angel' could protect you from the evil there that lies in await!

Within those caves lie the portals that lead straight into the hellfires!

Boo!

"Spooky" times call for spooky measures! ~ and they be not for the faint of heart.

Avoid graveyards on All Hallow's Eve ~ especially when the fog rolls in...

What a pleasant surprise! So good to hear from you! You've been missed! Please do be careful, Dearie! It's not the best time of year to be leaving the safety of your home!

I like the sound of your last name. It would go well with my daughter Shannon's name. lol The poet in me loves to rhyme names! So please forgive me if I ever inadvertantly call you Shannon!

Thank you for reading my poem and for leaving such a nice comment!

And here I thought Halloween's evil resided in my nephew's bag of oh-so-tempting chocolate treats! *G*

Excellent write, my friend... I thoroughly enjoyed... even if the hair is still standing up on my arms. *G*
