Mother-
Facing you, I find
that I can no longer
face the truth.
One child waited for you
And one child turned away.

Your absence resounds
in my empty spaces,
As your bones
rest on my shelf.

They're clean,
Yet fragmented
like your life.

Finally,
Facing you,
I find that
I am facing
Myself.

Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line.."

Wow!  Pretty powerful stuff.  There is a lot of truth to this for many daughters.  Well written, and I hope you share more....kat
