Red giant meeting

***
Walking at the pace
of my favorite dreams
I lifted my head
to stop dead in my tracks
as the rising full moon,
huge and blushing like a red giant,
punched me right into the center
of my solar plexus.
Gasping for air
I swelled and stretched
to his magnetic pull
expanding my surface
becoming an endless ocean
shivering to the moonlight
fingers’ irresistible touch.

Pulled into the moon’s domain
I saw you as you approached me
through the portal of its halo,
beckoning so powerfully
in between two pine trees,
expressly chosen to feature
in this uniquely charming play.

Caught by magic’s performance
we then moved into each other
while the red giant welcomed us
within his knowing amiable smile
and hid us upon his glowing face

where we still continue our dance.

Magical are your words, they sounds mellow yet sharp. Another piece that shall weave another memory around it, once the reader completes.

I love that, and the fact that we all share the same moon, and are touched by the light of her magic.

Wonderful work, you are such an amazing poet, Margherita~

Yo dear Margherita,

This is a good poem for the season.

Indeed we are fast approaching that moony season, when all the little werewolves are hungry for candy.  I usually pass out about 125+ candy bars on Halloween.  The one thing we do have here in the hood is hordes of kids.  In twenty years I’ve never had my windows soaped, and I’ve only been egged once.  I think the egging was some kind of mistake.  Such things happen.

Margherita - I love the moon and all it is. You write touchingly about what can happen under it...

Beautifully written and I especially liked the power of your images in this.  I really liked that the dance continues at the end as it should always continue.

I remember as a kid sleeping out under the full moon.  It was so bright in the mountain air you could see almost as easy as full daylight.

Always loved the moon.

Thanks for the memories.

Margherita,
Dance on, I say, dance on! Lovely.

I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
